... is you don't talk about fight club.

So this is the last drawing of Winter Break 06.

I think a belated 2007 resolution is for me to spend more time colouring things. I always like the look of the a drawing I spend an entire afternoon working on. p to the s not Brad Pitt and Edward Norton- but my copy of Fight Club has them on the cover, so clearly I am an easily influenced woman.

My biggest niggling thought all through Fight Club was "when are they going to make out?" I mean, I am not that kind of person, but seriously I was waitin' for it right up until the last freakin' page. Damn, Palaniuk.

All the same, Fight Club was pretty much the best book I've ever read. (Tyler Durden: best fictional character ever? PROVE ME WRONG, PEOPLE.) As anyone who has spoken to me for more than ten minutes can attest to, I'm really smitten with it right now. Grunge-fanart time? Yes. Yes it is.

A bit gibbled, a bit rushed, a bit dandy for a one day piece.

concrete/grunge texture from textureking.
coffee splatters are my own. I KNOW.

I'd comment on how cool this is, and how much the movie speaks to me on so many levels (I STILL can't find a copy of the book to save my white ass)...

but I'm not supposed to talk about it.

"Conan. What is best in life?"
"Crush the enemy. See them driven before you. And to hear the lamentation of the women."
"That is good! That is good."

Dang, I gotta read the book. Saw the movie, loved it... now I must read the book!

I love how this drips with grime. It looks so filthy. I really have nothing special to say, but I love Tyler's posture and attitude, and the orange ring. Win!

The coffee splatters work amazingly well.

If you liked Fight Club you have to read Survivor by Palaniuk. It is brilliant.

Nice. I like Fight Club. I've always thought it was interesting how the main character's monologue is so intense that you almost don't notice that you don't know his name. ;)

Nice job on this image, though. I like how you've been incorperating real textures into your computer coloring.

My favorite thing about Fight Club is how I knew the ending of it thanks to the movie so I could just sit around torturing you until you finished the book. "ARE THEY GOING TO MAKE OUT?" "JUST WAIT TILL THE END." "GAWWWDD."

As a side note, I do like the way you did their hair.

I love that book! Great job on bringing the characters out!

The book = FABULOUS. I saw the movie afterwards and it was equally great, but as in most cases the book just speaks a little louder. It's one of those things I think everyone is basically obligated to read.

Like I said last night jerk, I like the background. All texturey and interesting and stuff. Nice coffee stains, too. Also hair and furry coats.
