I've just updated the current run of attractions and added names to the claimed freaks just so I can keep track- VERY SOON I'll make a fancy post with image links and biographies and who knows what. IT'LL BE GREAT. I JUST NEED A FREE AFTERNOON TO DO IT.


Okay, so like always ya'll are nothing but awesome and the Freak Show and Curio is a GO. (like I had any doubts, you cats always pull through for me.)

I'll make a nicer post later on, but for the mo' let's just establish some ground rules and start a list of who's called what so that we don't get an embarrasing overabundance of elephant ladies and not a single goat boy (which would just be tragic).

THE RULES
- Strictly human, no anthros. The more people with terrible animal features (snake lady, frog boy, etc) the better, but no three headed anthro poodles, ya'll.
- If a role is called then it's taken- as awesome as conjoined twins are (and they are, man) it'd be lame to fill a freak show with eighty of them. Y'DIG? I dig.
- Don't call a freak if you have absolutely no intention of drawing it. This is going to be a long-term on-going project to build community and all that, so I don't expect you to design and draw by TOMORROW, but don't call the bearded lady if you know you're not going to draw her ever once at all never.
- Don't call eight billion freaks at once. Contributing more than one character is awesome (and encouraged!) but don't hoard all the cool rolls. One at a time, maybe. I'm not sure how to make it fair but I trust that ya'll are mature enough to handle this.

GUIDELINES
- The vibe of the project is delightfully era-ambiguous. I'm always callin' for punk/goth/alt fashion statements and that's sort of my aim and idea for this project, but like always I'd love to see some glam, some Regency, some Haute Coture, some hip hop, some Victorian, some whatever it takes to make you love it. ____'s* Freak Show and Curio is a traveling show, always taking on new faces and horrifying new towns. More than a design project I sort of have this great ambition that we'll all work together to make an amazing ongoing story with characters interwoven in friendships/relationships/histories and backstories. This project is open to EVERYONE. If you can't draw then design! Write! Poeticize! Doodle! I don't want to make anyone feel that they're excluded just because they feel that can't draw/write/design up to some imaginary standard. Collaborate! Make new friends! I want an army of awesome, kids, and I'm not even kidding.

Keep in mind you totally do not have to make a freak if that's not your bag. The show needs a host, an operator, callers, roadies, drivers, cooks, financeers- heck, the possibilities are sort of endless, here.


*Right now I would love someone to design the host/owner/operator (not the ring master, seeing as this isn't a circus, but you know what I mean) of the show so that ____'s Freak Show and Curio has a real title.
